Smoke gets in all our eyes

Yup, Indonesia is at it again. Acres of forest are on fire in Sumatra and the smoke has blanketed Singapore, most of Malaysia and southern Thailand. Today was particularly bad. There's an acrid smell in the air. The PSI (Pollutant Standards Index) went up to 150 at 9pm (it's down to 140 now). That's almost midway to the 'dangerous level'. I've now got an irritated throat but it's nothing like the respiratory problems many others are experiencing.

What's so damm annoying is that the Indonesian government keeps refusing all help from its neighbours to fight the fires nor do they have the determination (or guts!) to prosecute the people who are starting them.

So, I say to all who are getting sick because of the haze, send your medical bills to the Indonesian embassy in your respective countries. Their addresses are below:

In Singapore
7 Chatsworth Road
Singapore 249761

In Malaysia
233 Jalan Tun Razak
Kuala Lumpur 50400

In Thailand
600-602 Pecthburi Road
Ratchatewi, Bangkok 10400
