100 Things

1. I have a mixed heritage of English, Dutch, German and Indian, aka Eurasian.
2. I was born in September and am a Virgo Dragon. One heck of a combination!
3. I have a sister, D, who's married and living in Las Vegas, USA. We are very close. She's an Aquarian Monkey.
4. My parents are alive, hale and hearty.
5. I've found my soulmate, helpmate, lover and friend in M.
6. I'm god-mother to 3 boys - Daniel, Anthony and Tristan (in that order).
7. I work in the creative industry.
8. I love animals especially dogs.
9. I have had one who looked like a mini Lab. Murphy has since passed. Sob!
10. I'm very allergic to cats. I go into sneezing fits when I'm around them or worse - I can't breathe. But I do love them.
11. I love books. My favourite place to shop is a bookstore.
12. If I could have had another career, it'd be as a writer of children's books.
13. I have a thing for gadgets and gizmos. Especially anything to do with a Mac! 
14. I have an iPhone 3GS. I actually queued up for it when it was released in Singapore. 
15. I love Moleskines - what great notebooks. 
16. I have 5556 songs in iTunes...and counting. 
17. I'm have a G4 Powerbook with a 15 inch screen with 1.5GB RAM. 
18. My first Mac was the Classic. I was there when the revolution began. 
19. I studied design in the US and lived there for nearly 7 years. 
20. I loved the 80's in the US. Everything then was so over-the-top. 
21. My first full-time job was in 1991 in a Singapore ad agency. 
22. I'm a movie buff especially of horror and sci-fi/fantasy movies. 
23. I've watched the Lord Of The Rings movies (on screen and DVD) about 10 times in all. Number 1: 5 times, Number 2: 3 times and Number 3: 2 times. Bought Number 3's extended DVD version and watched them back-to-back. Whew! 
24. I've done a 5-movie marathon in one sitting.
25. My popcorn is usually a mix of sweet and salty.
26. I love nothing better than sitting down to a long meal with family and friends. 
27. My favourite foods are: Mediterranean, Japanese, Northern Indian and my mom's cooking. 
28. My favourite snack: dark chocolates.
29. I'm a vodka and cranberry or lime girl. 
30. My favourite kind of holiday would be on a white shell beach by a turquoise blue sea like in the Maldives or Fiji! 
31. I love holidays where I can veg out completely and explore leisurely. 
32. I hate holidays that rush you through 13 countries in 10 days. Where's the fun in that? 
33. I have a bucket list of must see places and things to do. 
34.  I can either be relentlessly organised or an utter slob. The latter lasts a very short while, then stand back while I re-organise. 
35. A character on screen who best resembles my character? Monica from 'Friends'. 
36. I'm not a breakfast person. Just a cup of coffee is fine, thank you.
37. My favourite color is purple. 
38. I love jazz, R&;B, soul and world music. I detest house, garage, techno.
39. I love white flowers like magnolias, gardenias and jasmines. 
40. My least favourite chore is doing the laundry/ironing. 
41. I learned to cook by helping my mom.
42. I've picked up crochet after a very long hiatus, thanks to my sister. 
43. I'm Catholic though not an actively practising one. 
44. My favourite holiday is Christmas. 
45. I love the smell of pineapple tarts and fruit cake baking in the oven. Nothing smells like home or Christmas more! 
46. I hate uptight, judgemental and malicious people. Just go away! 
47. I'm not very patient but I'm trying to do better. 
48. I do hold grudges but that too is easing. 
49. Not being 'right' agitates me. But I'll admit when I'm wrong. You just better be right. :-p 
50. I have a quick temper but control it well.
51. I can't watch movies about and with animals especially dogs...I cry. 
52. I'm living my life backwards.
53. I've been in an emotionally draining relationship. I only got through that with the help of a couple of very good friends who basically let me go to pieces for a few weeks before kicking me back into shape. You know who you are and I love you for it! 
54. I do procrastinate especially with deadlines. 
55. I love the whirlwind craziness of a busy creative studio.
56. I love rollercoasters. 
57. I'd love to try bungee jumping one day. Want to join me? 
58. I've been skiing at night, fell and hurt my tailbone so badly that I couldn't sit, stand or walk properly for days. Never again! 
59. I love being indoors when it's snowing heavily outside (recalling winters abroad) or when its a thundering monsoon. 
60. I hate the hot season here when makeup melts as soon as you walk out the front door. 
61. I'd love to chase a tornado one day.  
62. I hate saying "no" to friends and family, and that sometimes gets me in trouble. 
63. I love saying "no" to overly demanding and annoying clients. 
64. I have done work for a client and not been paid. That really sucked! 
65. I have done work for a client and been given $1000 as a 'thank you'. 
66. When I spot a star at night, I do make a wish. 
67. I believe that we are not alone in the universe and I want to meet them someday. 
68. I hate airports and hospitals. You go there to say 'goodbye'! 
69. I don't like chilli or anything too spicy. How can you taste or enjoy your food then? 
70. Favourite ice cream? Chocolate Raspbery Truffle from Baskin Robbins *orgasmic*, and Peppermint Chocolate Chip. And no Dad, it doesn't taste like toothpaste.
71. Favourite toppings? Nuts, nuts and chocolate sauce. 
72. Tiramisu is my other favourite dessert. Especially my mom's version. *Scrumptious!* 
73. I believe in the supernatural. 
74. I believe in past lives. 
75. My favourite scent is Chanel No. 5 and Narciso Rodriguez. 
76. The smell of frying onions and chilli makes me sneeze. 
77. My favourite local fruits are the durian and mangos. 
78. My other favourite fruits are apples and strawberries. 
79. I love silver and white gold jewellery with real stones/minerals like moonstones, amber, amethyst, turquoise and topaz. 
80. I have 2 earrings in each ear lobe, and wear an ankle bracelet.
81. I'm too chicken to get a tattoo although this may soon change.
82. I can cook a full Thanksgiving dinner complete with turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. 
83. I don't have a favourite artist but there is a painting in the National Art Gallery in Washington DC entitled "A Young Girl and her Duenna" by a Spanish artist. It's larger than life and her eyes draw you in. It left me breathless. 
84. I love poetry: Dickinson, Yeats, Blake and Stevenson. 
85. My favourite English word is 'serendipity'. 
86. I have a diamond-shaped birthmark on my lower back.  
87. I collect sea-shells and pebbles from beaches around the world. 
88. I collect beads and make jewellery. 
89. I believe a glass is half-full. 
90. I believe in destiny and the hereafter. 
91. I believe there are some friends you have for a season, some you have for a reason and others you have for a lifetime. 
92. I can't sit still in one spot and not do something. 
93. I love presents, especially those given without any reason. 
94. I'm protective of the ones I love. Sometimes, too much so. 
95. I think I was born a millennium too early. 
96. If given a chance, I would move to the US to live and work. 
97. I'd love to open a bookstore cum cafe one day. If I could do this with my sister, I'd call it Sisters' Books. 
98. I enjoy being on the open road with nothing on the horizon but sky.
